Happy Friday! We are heading into a 3 day weekend here in the UK so I'm especially excited to get this weekend started!
It's so great to be back in London although the weather has been quite awful. We've had lots of rain and it's feeling a lot like fall. Already.
While we were in the states, I sure did miss the yummy gigantic cup 'o coffee Davis makes me
every morning, snuggles with our sweet dog Hyde and play dates with our old and new friends.
Welcome to London Carolyn, Todd and the boys- so very glad you're here!
While we loved our holiday "home" it sure is good to be back home in London. After visiting our old home of Los Angeles, it felt amazing coming back knowing this is where we want to be.
We were invited to spend last weekend with one of M's new nursery friends at her family's country home in Flintham.
We had the very best time and loved learning about the history, seeing
the house and exploring gorgeous land. There were two British movies filmed at Flintham Hall somewhat recently-
And When Did You Last See Your Father? and
Easy Virtue both staring one of my favorites, Colin Firth. I hope to view them soon.
It was such fun seeing the girls play together as they got on so well. We really did have the loveliest time and the weather cooperated as well. Thank you for the wonderful weekend and for our new friends!
One of the very first places M and I began hanging out in London was Maggie and Rose (read my post about it
here).
It was where we met our first official British friends and continued to meet each week for Belles' cooking class. This week marked the end of our membership as the girls are both starting nursery. We had quite the day together despite the rain. Lunch, manicures, stroller naps all ending with Maggie and Rose fun.
We're gonna miss this place but still plan on seeing our friends weekly.
We
finally made it to our first football game and it was such
fun! Davis chose a team to support that just happens to be super family
friendly so we don't have to worry about any rowdy football fans. We
bought M an official kit (a jersey) so we plan on going to more games
this fall.
We've had a few early rise mornings since getting back to London so I wanted to find something that let M know when it was time to get out of bed and come see mommy and daddy. I found an App called
Back to Sleep and it has worked like magic. As M goes to bed all of the sheep are sleeping soundly.
Then when M wakes up (and it is time to get out of bed), she sees the sheep wearing party hats congratulating her on a good nights sleep.
It's genius and you'd better believe come Saturday, the sheep will be sleeping past 7 am!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a brilliant weekend!
