Adventures in Austria

Davis and M spent the weekend in Innsbruck, Austria. We couldn't get a Visa for L's passport this quickly and since he's only 7 weeks old, he and I stayed put in London.

They traveled with our Japanese friends who are moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the beginning of April. M and their son, Daiki are good friends from school and we sure are going to miss them living in London.

Since I never got around to sharing our travels to Innsbruck last year, I figured now was as good a time as ever.

While there was no snow in the city of Innsbruck, as you traveled up the mountain...hello snow!

Being from Colorado, it was so wonderful to have my feet in the snow again. There is something about the sound of snow crunching under my feet that I just love.

It was M's first time skiing and she absolutely loved it.

The resort had a moving walkway that would take the beginners up a small hill with just enough of a slope to get moving. She could have gone up and down all day.

Davis got a few runs in while I stayed with M. I'm a skier too but really just enjoyed watching M ski and was in no rush to get on the slopes.

After the mountain closed, we did a little tobogganing.

We had one day of beautiful sunshine and explored the old city a bit more. And really with the sun shining, blue skies and the majestic mountains surrounding the city, Innsbruck is gorgeous.
