4th Weekend Recap

M and I were so excited to get an invite to celebrate at the Ambassador's residence (Winfield House) from my friend Erin and her husband, Pete, who works at the embassy. Davis had a 4th of July party Friday afternoon since he works for an American company so we headed over after nursery without him. It was so nice to eat a hot dog, have some ice cream and an drink a cold American beer. Loved being around so many Americans lookin' smart in their red, white and blue.
The ambassador's residence is on a huge piece of land in the middle of beautiful Regent Park. Every year they have a theme and this year it was classic American vintage.

M and Josephine had lots of fun playing together in the bounce house and in typical toddler fashion, a freezing cold wheelbarrow of ice.

Thanks for the fun afternoon Erin, Pete and Josephine!

On Saturday, we ventured out to Parkside Farm for some warm and toasty strawberry picking fun. Since we don't have a car here in London, we took the Piccadilly line all the way to the end (to Cockfosters) and hopped in a taxi who kindly took us on to the farm.

There were so many and M went right to work picking strawberries. She loved it!

We could not resist trying one (or maybe a few) while we were picking. So delicious!

We also picked broad beans, beets and spinach. They had some other crops but we were getting hot and hungry so we headed to lunch wishing we had brought a picnic to stay and enjoy the farm longer.

Did you know this is a ladybird here in the UK?

After our busy morning and afternoon, we went over to Hyde Park for a dinner picnic. Nothing beats spending time in Hyde Park on a beautiful evening.

A cute tennis ball cupcake in honor of Wimbledon for my little cupcake.

Our Sunday involved M's swim lesson and a nursery friend's birthday party. Phew. A super busy weekend to start our last week in London before we head to the states.

Hope you all had a happy 4th! Today I'm linking up with Erin, Kristy, Liz, Natalie, Sara, and Vanessa.
