On Tuesday we made pancakes. Yeah, so? you say.
You see, it was Pancake Day and it's a thing in England. Shrove Tuesday, as Pancake Day is also called, is celebrated the day before Ash Wednesday. From my understanding, being the last day before Lent where people often give up foods of indulgence, the day is marked last bits of indulgence(s) such as pancakes. Typically here in England, they are eaten covered in sugar and lemon.
We also made Muddy Puddle Cupcakes.
In celebration of FOUR (see below), we made a little treat to bring along with us. And boy were they deeee-licious!
THREE
M had her first movie experience in the cinema this week. Peppa Pig and The Golden Boots of course! It really was just some (new) episodes put together for them to charge parents cinema prices but hey Peppa and seeing our friends make for the perfect day!
We had snacks (popcorn, raspberries, coconut water and cupcakes), laughed and danced with our sweet friend, A. The mommies may have caught a little snooze while the girls viewed the film.
FOUR
I've still not been able to watch the last episode of Parenthood and it ended quite a few weeks ago. I just don't want it to be over. If I don't watch the last episode then it will be like it did not actually end, right?Oh and the tears. Every. Episode. This last one is going to be a doooooozy for me.
FIVE
Someone turns 3 in less than two months so we've started planning her party. We've set the date and that's about it. Choosing the venue is the next task on the list so I can then send the invites. One thing is for sure (and keeping with this week's theme)- Peppa will be somewhere at the party. Most likely appearing as the dessert. Aren't these CUTE?!
Cheers to the weekend!
