Hello Humidity!

We had a super weekend. A super warm, humid weekend. I've never lived in a place with much humidity and I don't do well in the heat. The temps were only in the low 80s and I was somewhat miserable. We tried to buy a fan for M's room since she had been waking up from her naps a sweaty mess. Everyone else in London had the same idea.

I was glad to not be missing Davis this weekend. I was however missing my AC.

Saturday involved a short ride on the train to check out Borough Market near the London Bridge in Southwark. One of our favorite places on earth is the Ferry Building Farmer's Market in San Francisco and this is insanely larger and more fabulous. It is also surrounded with delicious looking restaurants and trendy shops such as Paul Smith. You can basically eat yourself silly at the Borough Market. For 3 days straight! Davis and I agreed that this would be a great place to come at night on a future date.
While we walked through the market, I was taking video for our possible appearance on House Hunters International so I did not get great still shots. We have to make a short video for the casting director to present us for the show. Stay tuned...

Thanks to our old Playa Vista farmer's market, M's idea of one involves pizza. We found some. It was thin and delicious.

Towards the end of lunch M decided she wanted to get in the stroller for her nap. Okay?! She goes down well for naps but has never actually asked for one. I think the heat was getting to her head! Davis and I took that as an opportunity to walk home along the Thames River. We were really far from home- like over an hour. Walking distance = about 4 miles. There were some pretty great sights on our way home so we thought- why not?

Turned out to be a pretty great decision. Here are some of the sights we saw.

Shakespeare's Globe Theater

View of Saint Paul's Cathedral

M woke up from her nap just as we reached Big Ben. Ice cream stat!

On Sunday we headed to Hyde Park- where else! We played in the water at the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. The fountain is made of stone, holding a moving stream of water that flows around in a giant circular shape. There are wide and narrow areas, bubbles, waterfalls, steps, and deep and shallow pools. Lots of water terrain to explore. And the water is really chilly so its a perfect place to head on a warm day!

My pictures were few and far between since I was recording video again. I need to figure out how to make pictures from videos. Anyone?

Hope you are having a great week! We are gearing up for our first house guests tomorrow and busy packing for our trip to NY on Sunday. Yippeeeee!

Cheers!
Kelley
