Five on Friday

This week's five...

ONE
Even the Easter bunny loves the place!
MUST be my child. I could exist on butter croissants alone.

I love myself a good pastry. Morning. Noon. Or night. We are fortunate to live right around the corner from Baker & Spice. It is DELISH! Anytime M and I need a pick me up, we head on over. It's a good thing I walk everywhere now or I can see a few extra pounds becoming a thing.

Seriously. Yum.
TWO
I FINALLY HAVE A WORKING CELL PHONE! YEE-HAW! Last weekend I got a new SIM card for my old iPhone to work here in London. Lots of fees later and a very long story short, I cannot OFFICIALLY get a new one until I've been here 3 months...bla bla bla. It's kinda ridiculous how hard it is to establish yourself in this country. Or maybe things are just too easy in the US of A.

THREE
Since I've started this bloggity-blog (thanks Erin- you rock!) I've started reading a bunch of them too. I came across this book written by Melanie who writes the Big Momma Blog and well, I could use an insightful, witty and relatable book about being a mom because let's face it, some days I cannot wait for Davis to walk through the door so I can clock out. I'm not exactly a reader so when I pick one up, it's usually for a reason or on a beach vacation.

FOUR
We finally laid our hands on the latest issue of Time Out London. In our 1 month of living here it has been elusive until this week! Apparently, each Tuesday the issue is available at tube stations, select museums, cafes and galleries around town. Of course, they have a digital version available too but its not the same as an old fashion magazine. Looking forward to catching some of the fun events around town. There is seriously so much to do here!

FIVE
Moving from Los Angeles where it is warm and sunny 95% of the time, I've already started to truly appreciate a sunny day. There is something about the sun in a city that apparently is starved for it later in the year. Yesterday and today I was actually out in a t-shirt and the weather is supposed to be A-MAZING this weekend. Zero rain in the forecast until Tuesday. WHAT!? I don't believe it- the umbrella will remain in the stroller (or as they say- pushchair or pram). I don't want to get caught under a rogue cloud.

AND THAT'S MY FIVE.

Enjoy your weekend! We are off to see Pippa's Big Splash, build M's playhouse, find me a pedicure, plant our garden and somewhere in between will probably involve a pub. Cheers!
