Sunny Weekends are THE Best

Last weekend we declared a redo for this past weekend as it was a pretty bad one. Will spare you the not-so-fun details although it included lots-o-rain and lots-o-tears. I love it here but being so far away from home is setting in. I would not change it for the world but I miss our friends, family and the Hyde-ster.

The weather was as perfect as it could be. We got up early Saturday and headed to Richmond (about a 40 minute train ride) to go see Peppa Pig's Big Splash. Boy was it a hit. We did not know about Peppa until I put a few episodes on the iPad for our 10 hour ride across the pond. The rest is history. We read Peppa pretty much every night before bed and I get to practice my British accent. The Peppa we picked up at the show now sleeps with M and came along all weekend on our other adventures.

After the show we picked up some sandwiches and cupcakes and headed to the park across the street for a picnic and some run-around time for M.

 

 

Hopped back on the train and got M home awake for a crib nap (Yippeee!). 

While M slept, Davis started building M's playhouse. I worked.

After M's nap, she got her toolbox and got to helping Daddy.

I think she likes it! 

On Sunday we headed out to the Primrose Hill Summer Festival. It was actually hot (mid 70's) and we were wishing our flip flops and sunscreen had made it onto the air cargo.

We actually walked all the way home from Primrose Hill, going through Regent Park and Hyde Park. Allowing M to take a stroller nap and Davis and I to grab a pint by the lake. 

Next weekend should not disappoint either. Where are we headed...
