Five on Friday

This week's five...

ONE
I'll admit, I've always been a little, ok no super duper directionally challenged. Thank goodness for the Citymapper app! It is the ultimate transit app if you are traveling or have found yourself living in London, New York, Paris or Berlin. It helps you get from A to B walking or by public transportation. If I want to go somewhere it tells me the different options I have and when I need to leave to get there on time. It even keeps up to date as to when the next train or bus is coming. It will even alert you if your stop is coming and you've nodded off or your toddler is in the middle of insisting on a snack.

TWO
Speaking of useful apps...I wondered how I would text friends and family in the states. A friend told me about WhatsApp (Thanks Helen!) and I've been using it ever since. It's a free texting app so enough said. Texting problem solved.

THREE

Peppa the Pig is all the rage here in London with the toddler crowd and M has decided she's pretty brilliant. We've picked up a few books in the hope that M starts to call me "Mummy." And yes, we've been practicing. I've come to find out that there is a live show called Peppa Pig's Big Splash and you bet your wellies we are going to snag some tickets to this one!

FOUR

So I am pretty much kicking myself for not buying this Pottery Barn table before leaving the states. We did not have the room for one in L.A. and I had no idea if it would really fit in our London house. So I'm biting the serious bullet (read crazy import taxes and shipping fees!) and just ordering it. I've looked at every website for a table like this one (white and similar size) and I cannot find anything like it. We are going to need this for the serious crafting we are going to be doing come winter.

FIVE
There are three amazing parks that we've visited since moving here- Hyde Park, Regents Park and Battersea Park. This time of year they are just gorgeous and filled with people out enjoying the sunshine. There is something wonderful about spending a beautiful day in one of these parks watching M run, scooter, laugh, and just watch her watch everything going on around her.  I can honestly say that a simple day in the park has probably been our best day yet.

And as you can see from her smile, I think she thought it was a pretty great day too.

AND THAT'S MY FIVE.
Brought to you by the lovely ladies behind: The Good Life. A. Liz Adventures. Carolina Charm. & Hello! Happiness.
