The
UK springs forward this weekend and we are already having sleep issues
due to the early sunrise (myself included). We are experiencing the
opposite of having super short days during the winter. We now have super
long days which in many ways is delightful except when you have a
toddler that expects to rise as soon as the sun shines.
Today
the sunrise was 5:48 am and I heard M at 5:50 am.
During those dark (do I daresay glorious?) winter days M could usually be counted on to sleep until 6:45/7 so this is gonna be rough.
Also going to give this clock a try so that M can learn that mommy and daddy love her sweet voice so very much but not before she sees that beautiful yellow sunshine on said clock.
My friend Kelly in California has two gorgeous kids and being the smart mommy that she is, they've both been modeling since they were tiny. It was so fun to see her youngest go by on a bus here in London for H&M. I had no idea he did the ad and then all of a sudden, hey there's Marcus! I see the H&M buses all over the city now.
He's the cute one way in front!
Had some fun putting these together for M's teachers that she has had for the last year. One was leaving the school to go back to school and the other one will be M's main teacher in nursery. As a former teacher myself, it always felt so great when a family went out of their way to do kind things and say thanks for what you do! I used mason jars and found these Cuppow lids so the jar can be used as a travel mug. Then put in some edible grass, a cute cookie and some chocolate eggs all wrapped together with these cute tags.
I was dying when I read this online about some of the lies parents tell their children. Many are downright cruel but some had me in tears. I particularly like the one about 10,000 words per month and the brownie one. I may use those two one day...
This week on Instagram I saw this print by Plum Street Prints and I had to have it for M's room. It is the message from the new Cinderella movie released today in the UK. I have planned to go see it with one of my friends this weekend and I am so excited to see it!
Since M is heading out into the big, bad world of nursery school, I've been thinking more about those virtues and traits I hope we are instilling within her. This message is so simple and yet so very important in my humble opinion.
Happy weekend- oh how I love thee!
Brought to you by the lovely ladies behind: The Good Life, A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm & Hello! Happiness.
we got lex an "alarm clock" and its magic! its a little owl who's a nightlight and glows whatever color you choose at night and when its time to "wake" he turns green. so lex carries him into our room in the morning saying "my owl is green!!!!". so hopefully it'll help with m too? and those mason jars are beyond adorable!!! i love love love!
ReplyDeleteI like Erin's idea. I wanted to try it for E, but need to find that owl! E has the opposite problem. He has trouble falling asleep and trouble waking up! I've been trying a combination of oils for sleepiness on him. so far, only gentle babies have been working. what else have you tried?
ReplyDeleteHi Helen! I'll send you an email about the oils.
