Adventures with Aunt Desiree and Colette

Davis' sister, Desiree and our niece, Colette, came out from New Jersey for a week to celebrate Christmas with us. We were so excited to celebrate the holiday and show them around London! Davis took the few days that he had to work around Christmas and New Year's off so he had lots of time to spend with them.

Get ready for an insane amount of pictures of the fun that was had!

Christmas Eve we had our friends over for dinner. Davis' cooking was accompanied by all kinds of British Christmas yummies they brought to round out our feast.

 Christmas

The day after Christmas is a holiday here in the UK (Boxing Day). We headed out to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. We were having so much fun that we ditched M's nap for the day.

Did I mention it was cold?!

Davis and Colette almost froze to death way up there!

Of course, Davis had to try to beat my Skeeball score...but with no success!
And grabbed some lunch in a somewhat warm and cozy giant Bavarian beer house.
Singing and dancing was involved- mostly to stay warm.

Another evening we went down to the Southbank Centre to see London at night and to explore their Christmas market.
Doesn't get prettier than this!

Quick selfie while we waited for food.
Rode a very speedy carousel.
And had some delicious churros con chocolate.
As we headed home, we were literally shielding ourselves from the wind and rain.

We had chilly but relatively nice weather most of the week so of course we spent some time in Hyde Park.

We ate lots of yummy food!

The night we had pizza, Hyde was not allowed in so Davis sat outside for his meal.

M had a special breakfast just with Aunt Des and Colette at our local favorite Baker and Spice. Mommy and Daddy got to sleep in! Yahooooo!

Here are more photos of the adventures while M was sleeping.
