Our long week without Daddy started Saturday. Davis' first trip back to the US for work. I have to say I have been dreading this week for a while. I'm pretty fond of having the guy around.
We have a not so busy week ahead as everyone we've met has begun their holiday trips and most of our classes have ended. Next year, we will be taking our holiday a bit earlier in July as we have 2 more weeks until we head to NY.
That being said, we had a pretty splendid weekend. Just the two of us.
With the sun shining on Saturday, we headed to Hyde Park. I had to see the playground Davis and M found on one of their recent daddy/daughter mornings. It can be found just East of the Edinburgh gate and south of The Serpentine. The playground recently re-opened and is all redone, pretty and another amazing play space in this city.
The weather and scenery were beautiful and M tried all that the playground had to offer.
I would imagine this rope walk was not intended for a 2 year old to do all by herself but M was determined. She did it at least 5 times and at the end of each slide she hopped around saying, "Again!" I felt super proud of her little self wanting to take on this big challenge and do it oh so successfully.
After playing, we headed to The Serpentine for a little bird watching and a picnic. We heard Neil Young and Crazy Horse rehearsing for their concert that night. There is a venue in Hyde Park for concerts during the summer. Next year when we are more established with a babysitter, I will be at one of those concerts!
Our Sunday weather started out with rain so I took that as the opportunity for M's first official movie viewing. I had intended on having her watch Frozen for some time now, but it just hasn't happened. She has a few Frozen books and knows some of the songs so we had a great time watching it together. I've always loved myself a Disney movie!
Our afternoon continued with some errands, hands in pockets, wind through the hair and some cleaning.
I'm super excited that she likes using the Dyson since a clean house is one of my favorite things!
Sending our love from London- have a great week!
Cheers!
